NRL ROUND 23 SUPERCOACH PREVIEW 2017

NRL 2017 ROUND 23 SUPERCOACH PREVIEW

Rabbitohs v Bulldogs
Souths replace Hymel Hunt with Aaron Gray in their only change from their upset win over the Dragons. Angus Crichton (100) gets a massive upgrade as edge forwards have dominated against the Dogs all year so far. Sam Burgess (64) has been struggling with tender ribs but this could be a matchup for him to exploit. Adam Reynolds (61) and John Sutton (58) are others to receive upticks but Cody Walker (53) gets a downgrade coming up against Josh Jackson defensively.
The Bulldogs stick with Chase Stanley (41) at HFB and Brenko Lee (61) in the centres with Matt Frawley (23) on the bench but this could change come kickoff as Stanley was awful last week. Josh Jackson (64) is best here but without much upside while Brenko Lee (61) and Will Hopoate (59) could at least be daily league options. Aiden Tolman (59) is solid enough along with David Klemmer (51) but all Dogs shouldn’t really be considered except in 1 game Moneyball entries.

Eels v Knights
Parramatta welcome back Tepai Moeroa (41) in the back row with Kenny Edwards (38) moving to the interchange and Frank Pritchard (34) to the reserves. Bevan French (63) has been named at FLB but expect him to a miss this week with a hamstring strain with Josh Hoffman (30) his likely replacement. Mitchell Moses (69) has gone large two weeks in a row and considering the opponent he could make it a hattrick of three figure scores, he is a legitimate POD for the Supercoach finals. Corey Norman (68) may be ceding a lot of the dominant playmaking to Moses but this matchup is still a juicy one for him. Manu Ma’u (67) is another to get a nice uptick but Semi Radradra (49) is riskier as the ball often does get all the way to the wingers when playing the Knights. Nathan Brown (63) is a must start but perhaps avoid him as a captain or VC option this week, if the game is one sided he may play less minutes and will likely have less of the tough stuff to do.
